Just got back into Asheville from the first MEGAHURTZ MEGA (mini) TOUR

I must say, this tour ran so smoothly it blew all of our minds.  Every show was was well attended, we got paid and met tons of new friends and hung out with a lot of old ones.

August 10 - Charlotte, NC - THE MILESTONE

Up until this point, I was probably the only person playing punk/metal/extreme music that had never been to the milestone before.  If you are unfamiliar, it’s a punk/metal club in Charlotte that has a lot of history through the likes of Bad Brains, Black Flag, Motorhead, etc.  Being in Megahurtz, it’s cool to play with a lot of metal bands, because I really don’t listen to a lot of metal on my own.  This night we played with Mysteriarch from Charlotte who played Black Metal and Hell Goat from Atlanta, who played black metal and cut themselves - really good.  Where the night got interesting was when pop star KE$HA showed up to the club after almost everyone was gone but us, and had a private party for one her friends in her entourage.  There was a massive male stripper, a lot of cocaine, I “danced” with kesha and Sarah, the singer of Megahurtz, made out with her.  Wild night.  My good friend Chris and another friend Evan partied with us as well.  Great night.

AUGUST 11 - Richmond, VA - The Hospital

I love Richmond.  I love the people there, I love the food, the aesthetic.  Overall, it was an amazing time.  I got to see tons of old friends.  We got to play a sick show with some friends of mine through JUST DIE!, Campaign.  We played with some awesome Powerviolence bands (everyone who hasn’t checked out ACxDC yet, please do so) and got paid pretty well.  I got some crucial personal time in Richmond that needed to be had, and had some great food in the process (GALAXY DINER has great breakfast burritos).  Also, after we played, we went to COUS COUS where the guitar player from Municipal Waste was spinning metal records.  He played the “OVER THE TOP” theme song, I fist pumped at him, he fist pumped back.

August 12 & 13 - Pittsburgh, PA - Skull Fest III

We left Richmond at 5 in the afternoon on Friday, so we didn’t get to Pittsburgh until midnight.  We pulled into a club that full of metalheads and punx.  We saw Thulsa Doom play, it was rad.  After that I passed out in the van for a minute, before being woken up to go on an adventure.  We went to a party outside in alley at 3 am, very LOST BOYS.  We stayed at our friend Zack’s house.  He bought his house for $10,000.  Very nice guy.  We woke up around noon on Saturday.  We went exploring.  I got some pizza at Spak Bros (it was decent).  We went to a pre-show punk rock picnic and saw some cool bands.  We played a huge club to about 40 people.  It was good.  Later in the night, we were waiting for MIDNIGHT to play and there were about 200-250 studded leather jackets.  Quite an experience.

Bam.
