Matt Evans - Tree of Memories

My acoustic efforts were spawned from an invitation to write songs and music that corresponded with a local art collective called NEWSWORTHY DRAWINGCLUB. The premise of the collective is to find odd news stories and create their own artistic interpretations (simply put). The ladies behind it all, Julie Armbruster and Brooke Priddy, are not only two of my favorite people, but two of the most amazingly talented artists I have ever had the opportunity to meet. This year will be the third year that we will collaborate. This song was written for the drawing above, as my own interpretation, and released at the show on CD-R. Give her a listen. I feel so honored every year to get to do this. As a songwriter, it is amazing to work with such talented people.
